Introducing the all-new 2022 Hyundai Tucson with more technology, more advanced safety, more power and more space. The 4th generation Tucson pushes all boundaries making it one of the most captivating and technologically advanced SUVs in its segment. 3 Power Types
For the first time ever, the Tucson gives you the choice between three powertrains that push the boundaries of efficiency and performance. The standard Smartstream 2.5L GDI engine will produce 187 horsepower with 178 lb.-ft. of torque and will provide both the performance and the efficiency. For increased efficiency, there is an available Smartstream 1.6L turbocharged Hybrid engine with a 44.2 kW electric motor and 1.49 kWh lithium-ion battery that produces 227 combined horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. torque. Later this year, there will also be an available Plug-in Hybrid powertrain option that includes a Smartstream 1.6L Turbocharged Plug-in Hybrid engine with a 66.9 kW electric motor and 13.8 kWh lithium-ion battery that will produce 261 combined horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. torque.
The Tucson is as capable as it is efficient with the available HTRAC™ All-Wheel Drive with multi-terrain control modes. This system provides the ideal handling, performance, and traction to match your driving conditions by adjusting engine torque, gear shift patterns, traction control and all-wheel drive torque distribution. Combined with the new powertrain options, the Tucson can go anywhere even farther.
A Bold New Exterior
The revolutionary exterior design of the 2022 Tucson exudes a modern style with angular body panels, bold, chiseled surfaces, and cutting-edge illumination that is seamlessly integrated into the new jewel-like grille. The grille features standard LED headlights or available premium projector LED headlights that produce a powerful beam for ultimate visibility at night. Hidden LED daytime running lights are integrated into the front grille and they are only revealed when illuminated. LED lighting continues on the side of the vehicle with available LED side repeaters and then to the rear of the vehicle with the available LED tail lights. These tail lights incorporate triangular shapes to match the body lines in a wraparound LED light strip across the rear of the vehicle.
To compliment the bold exterior style, available 19” alloy wheels add to the SUV’s confident stance and feature black accents with a unique spoke pattern.
Your Personal Sanctuary
The moment you enter the cabin you are greeted with a feeling of spaciousness and comfort. The available 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat with 2-way lumbar support offers complete customization for the driver. The Tucson also provides customizable comfort for passengers with the available dual-zone climate control system that allows both driver and passenger to select their desired climate in the vehicle. This system will continually motor the temperature in the vehicle and adjust temperature levels and airflow to maintain your chosen preference. The front seats come with standard heated seats and available ventilated seats function for year-round comfort. You can opt for heated rear seats and a heated steering wheel to increase driver and passenger comfort during the colder seasons.
The interior provides a spacious open ambiance that you won’t want to leave. A large panoramic sunroof gives the cabin an open airy feeling that allows passengers to see the sky above. At night, the available interior ambient lighting system lets you choose between 64 colours that illuminate the interior of the Tucson while watching the stars through the large windows and panoramic sunroof.
The Latest Technology
Hyundai has completely redesigned the center console with a new waterfall-inspired touch-screen infotainment display at the center. There is a standard 8.0” screen or there is an available high definition 10.25” touch-screen infotainment system with navigation. This system can be paired to the available Bose premium sound system so you can fully immerse yourself in the rich sound that fills the vehicle cabin. Both infotainment systems include standard Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ for easy connectivity.
The available 10.25" digital gauge cluster replaces the traditional hood-style housing to attain a new level of openness and modern interior design. This dash features new displays and graphics that immerses you into the experience by displaying safety information, drive mode specific graphics, vehicle warnings, and more.
The Tucson offers a shift-by-wire transmission that replaces the traditional gear shifter with buttons and paddle shifters for a modern design and sporty feel. Remote Smart Parking Assist is available on the to make getting in tight parking spots easier than ever. Simply use your key fob while standing outside the vehicle and the Tucson will remotely drive in or out of a parking space.
Other convenience features will include available rain-sensing windshield wipers, proximity keyless entry with remote engine start, and a smart power liftgate that will open if you are standing within 3 feet of the rear of the vehicle for at least 3 seconds with the proximity key.
Keeping You Connected, Safely
There are more ways than ever to connect to your Tucson. Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ come standard on every model and there is available wireless connectivity. This lets you access your favourite mobile apps seamlessly and safely through voice commands and the touch-screen display. Hands-free Bluetooth control is also standard on all models. For added convenience there is an available wireless charging pad available that is located in the center console.
Hyundai Bluelink connectivity features are included for 3-years. Bluelink is Hyundai’s advanced system that connects with your vehicle through your smartphone and offers a suite of services. Some of the features include remote start with climate control, SOS emergency with roadside assistance, remote lock/unlock, find my car, real-time diagnostics, and more.

The all-new Tucson offers an improved and expanded range of Hyundai SmartSense technologies making it the safest Tucson ever. SmartSense technologies use a range of camera, radar, and motion detection sensors to provide you with added peace of mind and a more secure drive. Features include:
FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE
If a potential forward collision is detected, audible and visual warnings will alert the driver and if no action is taken, the system can apply emergency braking to avoid collision.
HIGHWAY DRIVING ASSIST
Helps you remain at speed limit by adjusting cruise control speed based on GPS and highway data. It can also detect curves in the highway to slow the vehicle down before entering the turn.
ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
Set your desired speed and distance from the vehicle ahead and let the Tucson do the rest. The vehicle will operate in stop and go traffic, automatically bringing the vehicle to a complete stop and resuming speed once traffic is moving.
BLIND-SPOT MONITOR WITH COLLISION AVOIDANCE
Uses radar to detect when a vehicle is in the blind spot and will apply brake power to deter an unsafe lane change.
REAR CROSS-TRAFFIC ASSIST
The vehicle will alert the driver if it detects a vehicle approaching from either side when reversing. It can apply the brakes if no action is taken to avoid collision.
LANE FOLLOW ASSIST WITH LANE DEPARTURE WARNING
Uses a front-mounted camera to detect lane markers on the roads to assist the drivers steering to help keep the vehicle centered in its lane. Should the vehicle drift out of the lane, audible and visual cues will occur and if no action is taken the vehicle will steer itself back into the lane.
HIGH BEAM ASSIST
This feature will automatically switch between the high beams and low beams when oncoming traffic is detected or when you catch up to the vehicle ahead.
PARKING DISTANCE WARNING WITH AVOIDANCE ASSIST
Uses sensors to determine distance to objects when parking the vehicle. If you get too close the vehicle will sound a warning and apply the brakes if no action is taken to avoid a collision.
SURROUND VIEW AND BLIND VIEW MONITOR
Get a complete view around the Tucson with the 360 camera that allows you to switch between cameras located all around the vehicle and an above ground view so you can see everything around you. The blind view monitor will display your blind spot area in your dash when changing lanes.
SAFE EXIT WARNING
Warns passengers with an audible alert if a moving vehicle is detected when exiting the vehicle.
